Does anyone know what ever happened to chase reed, he was blistering fast in the late 90’s and early 2000? Just wondering.

Last time I talked to him was about a year ago or more and he was working with his dad and I think in a local band.

A few years ago, I had a class where I started getting in a Carmichael vs. Chad Reed argument with this blonde headed chick. She knew a lot about motocross, so I was pretty impressed. Turns out she use to be in a pretty serious relationship with the guy. Anyways, that's all i know about Chase Reed. He dated a blonde headed girl.

Yeah he got burned out and stopped riding. Last time I saw him was at Motorcycle Raceways , aka 59th and Douglas, riding a YZF250 wearing Thor gear... musta been 2002.
He was so friggen fast all night. He handled Johnny Marley like it was nothing!

So anyhoo, my dad was talking to his dad because they used to be friends when I raced with Chase's older brother...anyhow, he told my dad that Chase just lacked motivation to train and was overweight, and that their bikes just couldn't compete against the factory bikes. Said he tried running a few nationals that summer but just couldn't get a start to save his life cuz their bikes were slow.
Faded into oblivion.

It sucks because I remember at one time MXA called him "The Fastest 14 year-old on the Planet"

Little known fact... he had an older brother named Chad. Chad was killed in a jetski accident around 92 or so.

I know this is necropisting, but I was googling and found a thread from 2013 where Chase replied. He goes by his first name Stephen.
He had kidney disease for many years that was misdiagnosed but said its unddr control.

I remember watching him at lake Whitney back in the 90’s on his 80’s. Kid hauled the mail. Him and Travis Elliot.
