You know what makes me so angry I just want to swallow a dozen razor blades sideways?

Pulling up to a red light with a car full of children with some dumb fucking parent smoking cigarettes; with or without the windows open.

Happened today and I just couldn't let it slide and stay silent. I pull up to an early 90's Ford Aerostar and couldn't help but notice the adorable baby girl in a child's car seat facing backwards smiling at me. Well, then I notice there's four more kids in the van. They were all very adorable so I decide to creep up to see whose offspring these cute children belong to . And what do I see but a big, fat, nasty heifer talking on her cellphone with a cigarette hanging out of her mouth. Even worse is that every window in the van was rolled up. I'd bet a month's mortgage payment my face darkened 20 shades of red and heartbeat went to pegged. I give my horn a little "beep" "beep", force a big smile upon my grill, and give the universal roll down the window so I can ask you a question sign. She rolled down the window and my smile quickly changed to a frown of rage and I says, "You have less than 7 seconds to roll down that window and throw out that nasty cigarette or I swear to god I will come over there, yank your ass out of that van and put it out in your fucking eye." I thought she was gonna have a cardiac right there... dropped the cellphone, fumbled with the window but got it down, threw out the butt and started to apologize. I said, "Don't apologize to me, apologize to the beautiful kids you have with you, how could you be soooooo ignorant?" Light turned green and she hauled ass. Probably lit up another as soon as she saw me turn off...

What the fuck is wrong with people?????

Some people make it hard to mind your own business.

A friend of mine watched as a woman let her dog shit on the grass at the drop off / pick up area at his kids' school.

When she started to walk away, he asked her nicely to come back and pick up he dog doo.

When she kept on walking, he asked her a bit less nicely.

When she continued to ignore him, he picked up the shit with his bare hand, and threw it at her, hitting her square in the middle back.

He said she was wearing a really nice sweater, too.

after I fell while mowing my yard and noticed i had slipped on a dog pile. I said something to my neighbor and he told me the lady that walks her dog into my yard everyday lives two houses down. I waited and when she let FIDO defacate on my lawn I was there to explain to her that she was picking it up or I was going to throw her to the ground and feed it to her. She wanted to go home and get a BAG but I told her she was picking it up or eating it her choice. My woman heard the commotion and brought her a bag. They go the other way around our circle now. I really wanted to rub her nose in it the old HAG!

I'm surprised it's not a violation of some law. Child endangerment or something.

I think you first have to prove that second hand smoke "endangers" children, and I don't believe that's been done yet.

Secondhand Smoke Can Make Children Suffer Serious Health Risks

Breathing secondhand smoke can be harmful to children's health including asthma, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), bronchitis and pneumonia and ear infections.

Children's exposure to secondhand smoke is responsible for:

1. increases in the number of asthma attacks and severity of symptoms in 200,000 to 1 million children with asthma;
2. between 150,000 and 300,000 lower respiratory tract infections (for children under 18 months of age); and,
3. respiratory tract infections resulting in 7,500 to 15,000 hospitalizations each year.

The developing lungs of young children are severely affected by exposure to secondhand smoke for several reasons including that children are still developing physically, have higher breathing rates than adults, and have little control over their indoor environments. Children receiving high doses of secondhand smoke, such as those with smoking mothers, run the greatest risk of damaging health effects.

Join the millions of people who are protecting their children from secondhand smoke

You can become a child's hero by keeping a smoke-free home and car. Secondhand smoke can cause children to suffer bronchitis, pneumonia, ear infections and more severe asthma attacks.

You can be cited for smoking with children in the car here.

If they're doing it in California, it's only a matter of time before it hits the rest of the country.

It's a shame we have to litigate common sense.

No agenda in that little fund raiser.

Look, I'm not condoning it, and perhaps asthmatic children are effected by it. I just do think they've actually proven much, and don't buy their junk science.

I was born during the "It's cool to smoke" era. Every movie of the time had the lead actor puffing away, and his leading lady was right there with him. TV ads, magazine ads...The whole deal. My folks were on that bandwagon.

I'm not sure there was a Marine fighter pilot that didn't smoke, I know all my Dad's buddies did, as well as their wives, yet somehow my brother and me both survived. No allergies, no pneumonia, no asthma.

Should people do it? Probably not. Should there be laws against it? No.

Really?

Also from the cdc website...

Secondhand smoke causes sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), acute respiratory infections, ear problems, and more frequent and severe asthma attacks in children.

There are lots of discussions that could be had about made up numbers and issues that may or may not be issues based on who is funding it. Seriously though, you are going to argue that there is no harmful effects of children being exposed to second hand smoke....really?

You my friend reprsent a sample size of 1...you and your brother is 2, thankfully for the rest of us they actually conduct studies on more than 1 person. For every one of you that had no problems, there are tons out there that do/did.

It should be obvious to everyone that breathing smoke of any kind is not good for you.

Weather cigarette smoke is more harmful when passively inhaled is worse than, say, car exhaust or burning garbage has not been proven.

But, c'mon people, would you purposely make your kids suck a tail pipe?

If you smoke with your kids in the car, that's pretty much what you're doing.

My guess is that this fat pig you're describing wasn't the mother. She was the person that the mothers of the 5 kids hired to take care of them while they were at work making sure they could have 3 cars and 4 HD plasma TV's at home as well as a gardener and housekeeper. I think we may have 6 fucked up bitches instead of one. Add the husbands in and we now have maybe 12 people total that should be sterilized.

Here in Ontario you can be fined for smoking in the car with kids. Not sure how much though.
It's a new law and i've heard of a few people being charged.

We should all be fined for putting a kid in a car in the first place if you want to talk about endangerment.

My kid broke his arm twice on an organized football team, and has a semi chronic Achilles problem from playing soccer. BOOK HIM, DANO!!!

To top that all off, I let him ride a fast, gasoline powered machine over some very uneven terrain all evening last night. There were several others letting their children do the same. Laundry list of dangerous stuff there to write me up for.

Oh well, that's all probably coming to a city near you...

It is a law around here...no smoking in a car with a kid in, regardless if the window is down.

I would have told you to mind your own fucking business though....

Some lady followed my wife home one day, because she saw my daughter stand up in the car at the stop light. When my wife pulled in to the drive way, the lady jumped out and started yelling at her about not having my daughter in the child seat. I came out about that time...told her to get the fuck off my property and take her Subaru driving ass back where she came from...

Imagine if somebody came to the track and started yelling at you for letting your child ride dirt bikes....

My ex wife smokes in the car with my boy and it kills me. He is always all congested and she just pumps him full of meds. Yet when he stays with me and no one smokes he doesn't need Zyrtec or anything.

difference is- he's got a choice in all of those things. A child locked in a car seat with an adult driving doesn't
