Right, and that is pretty impressive. I think he just moved up to the A class this year also.

One more year in the Am's would seem to be about right.
He was hauling on the 450.

Actually how old is he?
Maybe the Pro age change thing will become a factor.

I talked to Malcolm and Big James at length at Loretta Lynn's about his plans next year and they could not have been more clear. Malcolm will stay down in the amateurs one more year. Malcolm feels he has the speed but has not been as committed as he needs to be to compete with the big boys. Big James said that Malcolm lacks the conditioning and focus that he needs to be a pro. James also added that he has never spent much time working with Malcolm and that was going to change within the next 12 months. The CANIDAE, Motosport.com, Kawasaki team really wants to sign Malcolm for the 2010 season but they need to put their 2010 program together first. We hope he will still be available.

If you want to get an idea of how Stewart would do, Justin Weeks the guy who beat him for that 450A title at LL is racing Dilla this weekend. Glad to hear here will stay down and do serious work on his overall game. Not enough kids are doing that now days with all the added pressure to perform or go home. I'm worried about the future of guys like Regal, Anstie, and now Weeks who jump in with no real ride prospects. I wouldn't call Team J-Law a solid foundation.

Didn't Weeks just do pretty good in the Canadian Nationals and isn't he riding the Des Nations for Canada? Maybe I have him mixed up with someone else? My Am. game is off.

Thanks for the info. If he is doing this well without the proper focus and conditioning imagine where he could be if he did have that. That has been said about many riders though. I hope that he realizes where he could be if he worked at it.

Your thinking Dean Wilson. He will go pro at Des Nations for Canada. Justin Weeks rode for Team Suzuki in the am's.

You have Justin Weeks confused with Dean Wilson. Deano has been racing the Canadian Nationals, took the Horizon award at LL 09, and will be competing in the MXoN for Canada.

Big James told me essentially the same.
He plans to focus on Malcolm now because Malcolm is no committed and focusing on racing.

He is getting some work done on his shoulder soon though, some lingering rotator thing.
