Hi there
What are the best seats for the supercross in Oakland?
We are a family of four with a 19 and 18 year old.
Cheers and thanks!

Been to every round there. Usually in press box. Sometimes stuck behind a poll or Mathes big head, lol. Pretty much anything lower levels but not too low. Maybe 8-10 rows up from dirt on one of the longer sides with a triple or long rhythm section. Look at the track map for best bet. Get there early and enjoy pit party and park close to an exit so you can get out. Cheers and have fun!

Oakland is actually a really great venue for visibility. And the track is always one of the larger ones so it always races well.

The stadium is old and crappy. But it’s got what you need. Anything mid way up on lower level or at the rails of the middle level is fine.

Trust me not my first choice of venues but our only day on our travels that we can see a Supercross, I guess with all the negative comments, I know what I'm getting myself into!

Thank you to those you responded with useful information! 😜

My son and I went to Oakland SX, a few years ago. Not the nicest or newest stadium but still good viewing as good as the others we have been to.
We stayed down town a bit suspect but but only there for 2 nights.
Enjoy yourself. ( after reading the comments about the venue before we went my son was disappointed he didn’t see any stabbings, 😎)

Good race to attend, good viewing but be sure to get your monster can before you get there. Went to the Wal Mart next door to get a monster for the pit pass and it was scary super sketchy.

The area is not as bad as everybody says. I have walked across the highway with my 7-year-old kid in the dark with no problems.
If you get there early, parking is easy and there are lots of good spots to view.

Thank you! Remind me, is the Monster Energy can for free entry into the pit pass. Just purchasing tickets and there is a $15 option for the Monster Energy Supercross FanFest Pass. If I have a monster can do I not need to purchase this ticket?

You can get there at 10am, but the stadium doesn't open for G.A. until 12:30 or so...

The track map looks pretty interesting https://www.supercrosslive.com/track-maps. I would consider going to the 2nd level facing parallel to either of those rhythm sections. Maybe the start side. Lower level is cool to be close to the riders, but harder to see the opposite side of the track. Fun either way I'm sure.

If you're only staying overnight I would consider the hotels along this strip which is not far from the venue: https://g.page/baysidehoteloakland?share. It's nice by the water and you can walk to a cool little german restaurant and the Brooklyn Basin park. I would only do SF if you're gonna make a trip out of it.

DM me. I live in SF. I’ll help you find the best area to stay. You can literally take a train straight to the stadium from SF. It’s what I do every year. It’s awesome and you don’t have to worry about parking.

I always try to sneak in in the 216/217/218 sections. Seing the 2023 trackmap, you should have the best seats in the house...

Buy cheap seats and move around treat it like an outdoor, and get there for practice its the best part of the day IMO

Walked onto the BART (train/tram) after I finished up at the stadium on Saturday. Sit down and a dude comes up to me, pulls a knife, puts right up to my face/throat and asks for my bags. Luckily all he saw was my backpack on the seat next to me, so he took that. Missed my roller bag with camera gear I had just slid under my seat.

Great times.

Also got some stuff stolen out of the press box there another year.

Again, great times.

Few teams got their rental cars broken into this year...laptops, wallets, bags gone...

Including Dirt Shark's crew. They stole a shit ton of their camera gear.

Once again, great times.

We need to go back across the bay to the baseball stadium.

I guess the good news is you didn't get stabbed.

What's the reason they keep going back there if a bunch of people keep having their stuff stolen? That's no fun for anyone.

I'm guessing it's "cheap" to rent the stadium.

I'm sure they could easily go somewhere else.

Oakland practically throws money at FELD to keep the race there.

Look at the track map and pick a spot along one of the base lines, 223 or 211. 25% daily chance of rain in January, underneath an overhang is much better if it rains. I did the 300 level in Oakland once - will never do it again, rough crowd.

With 4 people I would either drive or get a Lyft/Uber. Riding BART is okay too. There is a huge break between qualifying and the night show with not much to do around there. If you get a ride right before or after the night show, I recommend walking across the tracks to the BART parking lot by 73rd Ave to avoid traffic.

There is plenty to do and see in the Bay - cheers!
