The worst may be behind us!

"WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama told the nation Friday that the "worst may be behind us" on the recession after the unemployment rate dipped for the first time in 15 months."

Man, that was one easy recession to pull out of. Thankfully, the worst is behind us. We'll have to see if Obama can sell it.

"May"...."Try"...It's always good to have safe words that don't mean anything. Obama can always say , "I didn't state the worst was over, just that it may have been over." Maybe he can "try" and sell this recovery.

Politicians need to be careful wth their choice of words. DIdnt Obama first start by saying that he was going to "create" X number of jobs, then a short time later change his verbage to "create OR save" X number of jobs?

Just yesterday I heard him say that he wouldnt rest until "every American that wants a job, gets one" Man, that's a big ass promise, especially in light of todays economy.

I don't want a job. Unfortunately gas prices are going back up so I might have to get a second one.

Either the economy is getting better or it's getting worse. "Maybe" is just political propaganda.to make us feel better.

I don't believe it is behind us at all. Because just this week my husband along with about 20 others were laid off from their jobs. They had transferred them to Indiana last November and were only suppose to be there until the end of January. However, January was extended for a few more months. Then in March they lay about half of the employees off at that time. They came home last Thursday for the weekend and were suppose to go back to Indiana on Tuesday. However, that all changed. But luckily he did find a job this week. But still out there looking for something just a little better. Sure hope things get better and soon. But right now it doesn't look like that is going to happen anytime soon.

Same gimmick, just a different set of faces. The "Economy" is not creating new jobs. The poor will remain poor and the middle class will lose their eroding buying power. The wealthy will continue to improve upon their financial positions. Thankfully, Pres. Obama has stated that the worse may be behind us! That is great news.
