Anyone running the billetron on any 500’s, if so how do you have yours set up? I just traded some work out for a billetron 38mm with a 3b-b metering rod.

I don’t have any insight on the billetron but I do run a lectron. It’s the big 44mm with a 6-2xl rod and adjustable powerjet. I will say that this is a hot setup for that bike. If you are looking for a smooth easy riding bike, I’d stick to the Keihin because this thing hits hard and pulls well on a good built motor.

Agreed on the stock carb. Once set up they aren’t too picky. I dropped to a 52 main, stock needle on 2nd clip, and 168-170 main depending on winter or summer.

Team Green specs are a good place to start. I have an N89D needle I haven’t yet tried out.

I’m pretty sure I’ll need a different rod. I turned the rod all the way in and adjusted the powerjet to almost full rich just to see how it would be running in the stand. Wasn’t too bad. Started first kick and sounds good, revs clean with a puff of smoke with each rev.

I just completely rebuilt the whole engine right before Lorettas. Have about 2 hours on it. All oem parts (rod, trans bearings, etc) except wiseco piston. Cylinder was sent off and re-plated also. I’m not really concerned with it hitting hard, I won’t mind that being in Florida. I want to use it for better fuel. I’ll be racing it time to time in off road races.

I appreciate your feed back. Why did you go with the 44mm?

My stock carb needs the reed block gasket replaced. It’s rideable with it, it’s slightly over fueling in on bottom though. However, I did run a brand new pwk38 at Loretta’s with PC jetting and it was pretty good.

Yeah the stock carb does quite well and the only time I found it to be finicky is when the jet block gasket needed replaced. I have also run mine a little leaner than most recommend with the stock needle.
Also have a brand new 38 air striker in the box that I’d like to play with but never bought more needles to try. Some people say it’s really good but never mention what needle or jets they are using.

The reason for me going with the 44 is because I do a lot of full throttle. It’s not setup for mx. Could it be used for it? Yeah, given the rider and track conditions. I won’t start a conversation on what parts are needed for these things to work well as everyone has there opinions, lol. But they aren’t difficult to make fast and reliable.

Lectron says the Billetron won’t work on the 500’s. They don’t make a metering rod for it, only up to a 300cc. I haven’t been able to ride mine bc of this hurricane. Only start it on the stand. They also said no 38 works on the 500’s, seeing if that’s why you went with the 44. You have a drag bike? I’ve done a few alcohol banshee’s.

Yeah it’s a drag bike, most guys that go lectron use a 40 or bigger. Mines setup for gas.
Those banshees are bad, most people don’t understand how much power you can get outta the aftermarket cylinders. I’ve seen some bad 250r’s too.

Can’t find a pic of the quad. This is a banshee engine in an 08 450 chassis.

Nice setup. 1/8 mi. ??? Do you mind saying what size that is? I have a buddy with a little 4mil in a bike chassis and that thing hauls. Lol. I’ve seen some bigger built ones too, but most people don’t know what a handful a little 421 can be. They can hurt a lot of feelings.

It’s been a while since I’ve messed with them. Most of the ones I did were 4 and 6 mill cheetahs and cubs. Pretty sure the alcohol one was 6 mill. Set up for the 1/8. They are definitely scary fast.
