Something to think about for any and all who buys a used bike..
I bought a brand new 450 this winter from my shop, but broke my collarbone and put the bike up for sale. I just geniunely ride a 250 better and i was ready to drop back down. Well, I run a race program for our shop and one of our riders father had a new rmz 250 that his kid rode a couple times and just wasnt into it and told me he would sell it to me. Perfect I thought, I sold the 450 and promptly forked over the dough for the 250 ($4k in a check thankfully)...
Well I have been riding the bike for 2 months now, sunk all sorts of dough in to it (pipe, wheels, more go fast parts) and I get a nice phone call a few days ago.. It was someone who had actually originally owned the bike. Turns out MY bike never was really purchased from this fella. After talking with the guy Im pretty much forced to give the bike up. No bad blood between the two of us, but the guy I bought it from is just mysteriously.. not around..
So Sunday will be my last race on my bike, and im not sure whats going to happen. But lesson learned, be careful where your bike comes from.. I guess not every one is trust worthy

A hate bike theives. They struck again on a friends two bikes 2 days ago. It was the middle of the day! The neigbour watched the whole thing as they cut through all the locks with an angle grinder and tried to get them started. The cops were simply to slow getting there and the neighbour couldnt do anything but watch it all unfold.
