I have a tank already, if you have any other 00-01 rc 250. I may be interested. Thanks.

What bike is that that for.. an XR? It doesn't have the bolt holes to fit the radiator shrouds on an RC/ CR.

Interesting.. i have never seen a Honda factory MX team run that tank. Is it for desert racing or something?

Here is your typical 00-01 HRC aluminum tank..

Yes, that is the “small” fuel tank in your picture. In Europe we have sand tracks that require larger capacity were we compete in the world championship and stock size wouldn’t get the rider to the finish line. This specific fuel tank came from the PAMO team based in Italy.
If you Google it you will find more information 😉

I goggled it and found nothing. Do you have any pics of it during that time?

Here are the pics of the HRC large capacity fuel tank for the sand tracks used by Fred Bolley.. they are taller around the gas cap. Notice the screw holes for the oem radiator shrouds. Maybe you have a 1-off that was never used?

Here is Bolley at the Valkenswaard sand track in 2000 on his PAMO Honda. He has the sand tank I showed pics of above.

I dunno, but second pic of him in walkensward it looks like the shroud is ending much like where the tank the seller has. Looks like the graphics make up the rest...

Hard to see, but I think it is just because the pic is so grainy. I have been collecting pics of the 1999-2001 RC250Ms for years and never saw the other tank.. it looks to have even more capacity than the other one. Maybe it was a one off in case they need more fuel capacity but never needed it in the end.

Got some parts from PAMO team ten years ago.
They are also HRC according to them, but what do they know…

I am looking for an HRC titanium kickstart knuckle for the 00-01 bike. Will pay well for one.

I also have one of these HRC tanks with the original Pamo Honda stickers still on

Wow, that is cool, Stephen. I have never seen these before, I learned something new! So HRC had 2 different sand tanks with different capacities (I assume) that the teams could choose from. I know they were never used in Japan or the US. I guess just in Europe? I seems they needed special HRC radiator shrouds made to work with them, too.

We learn something new all the time in the world of factory hrc parts. No book or history other than pics. Thanks for sharing on these incredible pieces.
