Are there any reputable shops in my area?
Looking for shop willing to work on older two-stroke machines, 1980-2000 era.
I may need the help of a pro to get my bike sorted and Sunday is my only day off.
Time is what need and just don't have. Working six days a week, at least until January.
January February, March is my slow season, but not very good for sorting out a bike.

Not new to doing my own wrenching, and I actually enjoy it. It's some of the best therapy for me.
I've tested it, and it really does help with lower my blood pressure! Unlike my job.

I am currently teaching myself the black magic of carb tuning and jetting.
This is where I am having trouble, and it appears at least for me a lot of trial and error.
I am enjoying this new field and understand the basics. But jetting is more involved the a new top end.
I have read articles, watched videos, and have made my own adjustments to the carb, all where the results are quickly noticed.
It's fun but I just don't have the time. And it's just one bike I am having trouble with. I have several others I can just hop on and go for ride. Dirt, on/off, street, whatever I feel like.
I was hoping to turn some laps on my current project this year, but I am a patient man, and not opposed to waiting.
My schedule is to have the bike sorted, get some seat time on it, and be ready for 2023 MX Rewind at Unadilla.
I am not to the point where I am done, but just reaching out now in case I need someone to throw me a life preserver.

Thank You

I found that what was causing engine running badly was a worn out crankshaft bushing which leaked transmission oil to motor and made finding good jetting impossible.

These are the things I am reading that make me wonder if barking up the wrong tree. LOL!

If they’re referencing the “bushing” as the crank seal, and it’s sucking oil on the right side it will make your bike run really rich, and if the motor hasn’t been refreshed there’s a chance the RH crank seal could be old and brittle, the easiest way to tell if this is your problem is if the bike smokes a ton, or to measure the amount of oil you put in, and then measure the amount that comes out after riding.

I’ve always had good luck finding out what the stock jetting is (including needle and slide) and going from there, usually you end up leaning it out a touch in my experience.

I know you asked for tuners, but I figured I would throw some help your way.
