and left us wanting much much more of those two going head to head. The last couple of days i've been watching dvds of 2006 & 2007 SX & MX and the racing was soooo intense between James & RC and the racing was much more exciting to watch than watching the racing of today. RC and James would absolutley try to kill themselves trying to beat each other. I just don't see that same type of mentality in todays racers. It's hard to get into the racing of today when you've witnessed the two greatest SX & MX racers of all time going head to head. Man, I can't believe I would rather pull out a dvd and watch a past race rather than watching todays live race. Never thought I would say that.

Really if you think about it, it wasn't THAT close. No matter what, even if JS was 30 sec. ahead RC would track him down and pass him. The competition just wasn't as close as everyone wants to remember it. Outside that is. I think this years races are the best ever as far as who will win it. Besides, as I've said before, we get to SEE it.

I'm talking MX & SX. Go watch Hangtown, High Point, Southwick, Wash, and Glen Helen of 2006. Even though James got hurt the 1st moto of High Point, He still gave RC fits the races he did enter that year and won some OA. And 2007 RC won the OA the first 5 races, but James still won 3 of the 1st motos of those races. Man Budds Creek and Red Bud of 2007 was awesome

As a fan of moto, I'm not complaining but the other day I watched a torrent of RC and JS going at it at Washugal 2006 and know exactly what you mean. The first 450 moto today wasn't nothing compared to what they were doing. Of course that was one of the greatest races ever.

Unless something happens off the start it's still two guys, except now the tracks are so fast that nobody, not even the fastest two guys can come back from a bad start and win . And by bad I mean from 6-10 is pushing it.
