Seriously, for one of you graphics guys, is there some special trick to getting the exhaust side graphic on without any bubbles or creases? Maybe it's easy and I'm graphic installation challenged?
I know some people slit half of the the graphic so its almost as if it were two pieces and is easier to work with but the turn out is all ghetto looking. The key is to work the graphic from the center out using plenty of heat.

Primo! I need a set like that for the KX250. That is going to be the new fad!

Easiest way to do it is to order graphics and UFO plastic from Decal Works and have them mount it all for you. Open the box and bolt it on your scooter.

No trick. If you send us your plastic or have us obtain it for you, we install it free.

To install graphics, with no creases or bubbles, you need to look at the plastic and figure out where a flat piece of vinyl is going to end up going when it follows the contours. On most side plates, the best method is to fold down the first 1.5" of backing paper and then line up the holes and such on the lower part of the graphic to position the graphic. Then stick the top part onto the plastic. Then, starting at the top, work the graphic down the plastic. Normally you will work "down" into a valley, then start going "uphill" to get over the silencer bulge. Up to this point you should be just smoothing front to back and making sure the vinyl is smoothing down and staying lined up. If it seems to be going off track, pull it up and reposition. Once you get "over the hill" of the silencer bulge, you will see the graphic want to ruffle up because the plastic is tapering in and getting "smaller". If you keep pushing straight down to the edge, you will end up with creases. You need to keep working outward in all directions as you proceed down to the edge of the plastic. There will usually come a point when the graphic won't smooth out because it's too "ruffled". Pull back a bit, and get out the hair dryer, blowing it from the sticky side. The ruffles will relax, and the graphic will soften. You can then continue smoothing it out to the edges. Sometimes (like on a YZ250/450F) you will have to use the hair dryer more than once.
