CRF 230 F good or bad

I would just like to find out im want to by myself a honda CRF 230 F,,how is the bike in general,can anyone plz give me some advice about the bike its a 2008 model,,Im bying it out of the box

For a beginner or a trail bike it's perfect. For motocross, a racebike it is not.

what he said, back yard fine, any sort of jumping you will be replacing rims as frequent as air filters

I will add, for anything serious in moto, it will not give you the drive in the straights. Beyond that, it is one of Honda's shining diamond. Riders of all levels love that bike. Makes an awesome play bike, beginner bike for adults, trail bike. It is the modern Trail 90. I have seen buddies that have them as trail bikes kill the C class filled with 450R's Even giving the 450 the long straights. They are as good as you can go.

But like the others said, if you want a track ready bike, this isnt it.

I have a 230 that I bought for my son! It's a great little bike for trail riding, has a bullet proof moto. Keep the oil changed and the air filter clean and it will run for ever! BTW there is no difference in the years they are all the same.

depends what u want it for

ive ridden my mates and i kinda liked it but i preferred a CRF150R so much more

if you want it as a bike around the farm, or backyard, its perfect but for racing and jumping they bottom out pretty easy over like 10gap jumps

i have a kx100 and a crf 250r and my friend has a crf 230 and he wanted to race the 100. i raced him and beat him in everything(acceleration, top speed, looks, suspention, and everything else u can think of.) they have the same seat height so unless all you are doing is cruising, i would get the 100. not to mension i was in 5th gear when i beat him in the race and i was playing with him. i still had one more gear to go. dont get the 230...

Mostly what feels good to you. Can you touch the ground, comfort sitting on the bike, ease for you to handle. From there reliability. You don't want to get stranded. All these in consideration with your favorite color.

Have fun. New bikes, even used are cool just getting them.
