2022 kx250 sag setup

You can pick any point.

Personally I put in a groove/sharpie on the left side of the rear fender where the right number plate ends. Then Put your measure tool in the wheel hole and measure from there. Just choose a spot and be consistent with it.

Like the others are saying, you pick any point.

Make a mark on the fender, and that will be your measuring point. Measure once with the bike on the stand, take it off the stand, push on the seat a couple times and remeasure. That is your static sag.

After that, you/the rider will sit on the bike, bounce up and down a couple times and stand in a neutral position. Measure, and adjust until you hit your target.

Don't overlook static sag, it is very important.

Idk your weight, but the 22 KX250 is sprung very stiff. 5.4 rear spring stock. I had to go down to a 5.0 rear spring. (155 weight). Set the preload to 6mm and when doing the race sag I had to turn it 1 more turn and its perfect. Easy peasy.

It absolutely matters where you pick to measure. To far in or out and your measurements will be off. I’d go plumb with the rear axle or slightly in front of.

Mark the spot that is in the arc path of the rear wheel axle for the most accurate measurement

There is a mark on the left side, a little ridge an inch or so in front of the side panel.
