I think Mookie honestly said, "Fuck it, I'm over this guy running into me/through me, and I'll be damned if he's gonna walk away and have a night that puts him in control of the championship." I don't think Mookie really cared about going down or not there, just as long as Anderson was down Mookie was gonna be cool with it.
The opinion that JA21 has been aggressive with Malcolm more than vise versa just seems mistaken. e,g, check out the pass that put Stewart ahead of Anderson at Arlington prior to Anderson's attempt that took them both down. If JA21 hadn't come to a stop to avoid contact, they likely would have gone down earlier than they finally did. Both ride aggressively and have a long history of conflict. See the following Anaheim clip from 2014
(https://www.motoxaddicts.com/2014/02/01/malcolm-stewart-and-jason-ander…).
or this one from Anaheim 1 this year
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FefA_ezQ7hA).
However it has been primarily Mookie who has tried to take subsequent retribution on the track and we can't have a rider looking for revenge roving the track trying to interfere with a championship. Our sport will never gain any respect with crap like that going on. I like it when riders are aggressive but not when they make deliberate attempts at a take-out, Mookie should have been black flagged at Daytona.

1) How do you know Mookie intentionally took out Jason? Jason overshot the berm and Mookie was in the berm.

They both held it on and their lines came together. Which one should of backed off to avoid the collision in your view? Jason was outside of the berm.

2) Don't worry about Supercross being respected. It has been around for decades. What type of respect are you looking for and from whom???

3) Should Jason of backed off in the second turn so he would not hit Eli? Eli trying to avoid that hit from Anderson is why he got up into Mookie.

My opinion is to let the guys race. And it appears that is what the AMA decided. They only lost a position because they accelerated when they were off track.

18 points lead for Tomac. The next couple of rounds are crucial for Anderson. He needs to get that gap back down after this.

For a neutral fan that wants a close battle for the title to the end, this race was a bit of a bummer.

There is also Arlington 2021, remember Malcom trying to torpedo himself into Anderson's rear tire only to go ass over tea kettle into the concrete. Malcom is a child throwing temper tantrums when faster riders won't "let" him win. If he was fast/good enough to win main events, he would be winning main events. Instead he is more focused on sabotaging the rider who's bike he took over, a rider that husky expects Malcom to out perform but clearly is incapable of.
Maybe Malcom would feel better if they just gave him a main event participation ribbon at the end of the race.
