Im watching now. This is bad news! This has potential for me actually doing nothing today!! I need to go for a cycle ride but its over-cast and 21mph winds outside! And I need to wash my RM250 from yesterdays ride. All that with a battered and sore body!Laughing

Who's # 11 on the CR500?

Looks not big enough to be this bloke, from the 2017 Hawkstone International - Barry Turnbull, on his 87 CR500 :

PS : Bugger, I think I just missed his name, just as I went to put the bins out!

PPS : It Is Big Barry! - they just got the timing up. Yay Bazza!

Racing about to start - first up, EMX125 (that's what Guy Perrett is calling it).

For a split second, in the staging area, I saw one bike put out a stream of smoke - thinking, hello, we've got a very sick 4t there. But, then I realized it was the Mighty 125s, awaiting the 'off'.

I just Love Motocross, and Love Hawkstone. A Real, Magnificent Track. I hope to get back there, next year.

Yup - hey , give me a break, he's a 'Pommie Bastard', I'm lucky to remember his second name Whistling

I think I always get his name mixed up with that Huge, Mad Canadian Offroader from videos years ago . Woohoo

Good interview with the Brit Kawi MXGP rider right now ............ what's his name???? I know it, of course, but, it's 10.20 PM here, and I'm deep into a Monstrous Pasta and Bourbon, and, I'm not much of a drinker. Next up, Ice Cream!

Now it's Sean, Seany Sean Sean - that's a take on an old Brit comedy that had an Irish Comedian as the star.

MX2 on the line!

I'd love to see 17 yr old Kay DW give Vialle a bit of pressure.

Oh no, a mud crab grabbed his front wheel......

Bloody.... Mewse was starting to give Vialle some real pressure, but he's just hoicked his goggles.

That's going to make things slightly difficult, plus Gifting is now right on his clacker.

Oh fug, Mewse just ate it. Sad

Gifting in to lead ... impressive charge , 2 rounds before he was 10 seconds behind

Well, 2nd Moto Ben Watson was leading with Old Man Sean hounding him, but then Watson pranged . I was going to comment on how smooth Ben looked...

As much as I like the Scot, I'm legally obliged to barrack for TKO who's now in 2nd - my Danish relos would have my guts for garters if I wasn't cheering him on. But, go Seany Sean, Go! Woohoo

Bazza's in 24th, at the moment.

Cripes, Brent Van Donnik just went for broke, and jumped(literally) from 3rd to 1st. Great stuff.

Bazza on the 35 yr old bike, up to 22nd.

You guys call that a mudder- we call it good winter Moto.
That was a great day's weather, was forecast to rain ALL DAY, and apart from a damp qualifying, where it rained, all the races were dry and the track was spot on.

.Not quite sure where announcing a livestream the afternoon of the day before came from, but hey , we were there anyway, and the crowd was huge considering how the weather was supposed to be.

And yet again, the track was improved by removing jumps , and giving the riders more options in the turns as a result.

2 stand out's for me, Kay De Wolf, and Brent Van Doninck who both made progress against faster guys.

And big hat tip tip to Ben Watson, led 2 of the 3 races, and should have won the second one, but for a small tip off.

Great day, now on to Matterley.

Ive achieved very little today Phil! Ive had the MacBook plugged in and the live stream on ALL day! I walk away from it, try to get busy on something and come back to it within minutes! Ive had so many cups of tea today!Laughing

It was great to have this live. For the most part, the commentary was pretty interesting and informative too.

Was some good racing today, was glad it didn’t piss it down like the forecast. We were by the bombhole most of the day, de wolf was on a mission! Great to see him just hanging off the back in full charge mode. All good racing today, looked heavy going on the 125s but good to see a full gate of tiddlers.

We watched the Superfinal from there, wandered around most of the day, tried some new places, which isnt easy when you have been going since 1978.

Would like to see the whoops reinstated if I'm honest, it's my favourite track to race at and because of that, one my favourites to watch too. It's a brutal track and the top guys make it look a lot easier than it is. Long live Hawkstone and all that ride around her.
