Dubach ran one made by Paul Thede, and another company made a version (Destroyer?). Drastically improved shifting on the YZ. Looking to buy one and hoping someone has a lead on where to find.

Holy smokes. I had one on my 94yz125, super notchy shifting on that gearbox. I was so thrilled when I got a 96 yz125 and found the shifting to be much improved!

I had the Paul Thede/Race Tech version on my '90 YZ125. Total game changer for that bike, but I think they stopped making them in the mid '90's. That's going to be a tough find.

Watch Ebay they show up. I had two, one for each of my 1993 YZs and you could shift under full power with out backing off which you could not do when it was stock. Mine were blue anodized.

They powder coat that frame with the bolts in it?

I doubt it, they came with painted white subframe bolts so I bet they taped them off and painted separate.

Yeah from memory, the subframe wasn’t removable, only the left hand stay shown. Stay would have been powder coated separately and reassembled with either the standard painted bolts or bolts with powder coated heads.

Those YZ’s did have notchy gearboxes and were prone to bending shift forks. Always wanted to try a linkage shifter, but they were hard to get back then, in Australia anyway. Good luck.
