I have a neighbor that has a fairly complete MR 175 (not sure what year). I have a few Elsinores and have an idea what they take to get restored, but no idea about this bike. My brother-in-law had a MR 250 when I was a kid and I loved that bike. Anybody have any insight into the 175? Parts availability? Are they a worthwhile project?

They’re not a bad little bike , same steering angles , dimensions as the 74/5 CR125 but heavier. Steel frame, steering stem and swingarm unlike the chromoly of the CR
Pistons and rods are hard to come by . re-mx stocks 1 size piston only . Crank works can fit a KDX rod I believe
Much milder than the CR , really low 1st gear and a jump to 5th
Well worth restoring .. go for it
