For my situation, it was worth it for my '18 RMZ450. I was in need of re-spring / re-valve, so when looking at the numbers (revalving bfrc vs kyb) I didn't mind spending a little more to make the kyb happen. Was able to source a new '19-'21 RMZ250 KYB (with 5.2 spring) for $550 from my local Suzuki dealer. Updated spring to 5.7 from Factory Connection

6 months later,very happy. It's consistent, doesn't wallow, and clicker adjustments can definitely be felt. I've even put the stock link back on with good results. I guess the biggest "compliment" is that I don't think about the shock anymore.

Yeah I’m struggling to find one new or used. It’s going to be lowered for a dtx bike anyway. I guess I’ll have to call the dealer and see what they got

I looked for a used one for a while, I gave up and got my BFRC revalved. It’s way better than stock, I don’t know how much better a traditional shock would be. I have asked around if it’s worth to change the BFRC and got mixed reviews.
