Not sure on the timing, but after seeing Keanu Reeves sporting the #167 winning a bike race thanks to Coke, it made me curious if there was any inspiration to the GOAT's amateur number. Thoughts?

Not true, he started riding at 5 so that would be near when this came out. I'm not saying it's true, but even if it's a coincidence it's interesting that and a commercial about someone that was a total badass on a bike was running the same number he would go on to make famous as an amateur.

Seeing that video of him on an 80 brings back memories, or maybe nightmares, haha! I think I can pretty much speak for everyone that had to line up against him in those days, what he became in the sport was no surprise to any of us. The writing was alaways on the wall!
