You'd think a Congressman would know that it's ALWAYS in bad taste to speak ill of dead people. Once a person is dead, human judgement is kind of irrelevant. If anyone is interested, Bob Herbert wrote a great column about Jackson...sort of...

So I am clear, Ivan, if someone accuses you of something, you're guilty of it.


So if someone here says that you're a rapist and that you raped his daughter, it would be perfectly acceptable for everyone on this forum, in your personal and professional life to also call you a rapist, right?


Even if you go to court and the jury acquits you, everyone can still call you a rapist, no problem, correct?

I understand the supposed difference but if OJ was found not guilty of killing his ex-wife and her BF how can he owe anyone money for that crime? It is legal posturing that says we are going to get you somehow for something period! You have to be guilty and even though we can't prove it we're going to keep trying until we make your life miserable. This is clearly a misuse of the judiciary system and it costs us taxpayers millions. I do not care whether OJ did it or not or Michael for that matter. I want to see an end to pointless litigation. If they are guilty put them away if they are found innocent drop it. It's very simple.
