I know Justin won every B moto except 1 and Roczen was no where near him at Loretta's.
But after reading Roczen win a GP, I'm sure he has stepped it up greatly since last year.
It would be cool to see how they would go against each other, even though I'd go with Justin easily. Smile

Roczen is too young for the new age limits here in the US.

From Racerhead a cpl wks back.

"While we’re talking about Suzuki riders, here’s a nod to a cool kid named Ken Roczen. He rode into the record books last Sunday as the youngest rider ever to win a Grand Prix, taking the German GP in the MX2 class at the ripe old age of 15 years, 53 days. (In Europe, you only have to be 15 to get a pro license.) Roczen, who said earlier in the year that he wants to come to America soon, will have to wait until 2012 because here in the States, the age limit is going from 16 to 17 next year, and then from 17 to 18 in 2011. And the even-younger (and said to be just as fast) Jeffrey Herlings of Holland may have to wait until 2013 to come to the AMA circuit."

At first I liked this rule but now ,it seems kind of messed up.The fastest riders may not be on the track.

While I have seen both, a few times, I think Barcia would beat Roczen

My understanding on the year at LL's he struggled (last yr or yr before, can't remember) in talking to my friends in Germany it seems they had all kinds of bike troubles all week long, just couldn't get things right and dialed in.

Roczen is very fast, don't doubt the kid.
He is not afraid to hang it out and ride outside the envelope.

Herlings is also really quick

There's a few "Juniors" in Europe who will be fast here in a few years

I think they would be pretty close right now Barcia might beat him in the US but Roczen would maybe beat him in the world championship and Germany. Roczen is two years younger too don't forget and is already having more success than Barcia has won an overall and a moto.

They'll be on the track, it just won't be at the US Nationals. US amateur, or GP's will be the playground for riders under 18.

Guaranteed over the next several years there will be many US riders that go to the GP's- and stay. Likewise we'll see less GP riders heading here to race the nationals. Sadly, the riders that want to come here will probably be to race in the Supercross (read: circus) series.

Definitely could see that scenario playing out.

Barcia=17
Roczen=15

The 2 year difference is huge in that stage of your life, i think physicly, Barcia has a lead on Roczen, so comparing them now is premature.

When Roczen goes stateside, both will have a lot of experience and a comparison then will be more accurate.

Actually, SX money is already the reason they come...
