lots of people here sayed it was wrong to come from the b-class to pro.....that he couldn't handle the pace ......lots of bad talking the kid because they thougth he was moving up to fast............
well the kid just got 6th.......probably one of the youngest rider to get a top 10 in a pro national.....
even i was not sure he was doing the right move.......
well.....i guess he deserves a word from the race fans now too......props to te kid...!!!!!!
hope he can bild on that and be up front more often........

That was a great 2nd Moto for sure. Max has been steadily improving all season, and I think by the end of the season he might get a top 5 or 2. To think that last year he was on 85s is pretty unbelieveable!

I was a believer from the go. Max is the real deal and he would be wasting his time racing in the Amateurs.

Might be the same age,the only real difference is Barcia is running with the big dogs and showing most of them the fast way around the track.

totally agree, he's a cracking rider and he deserves high praise, he's young and only going to get better, his results have been progressing all season after a hard inniation to the nationals. i actually remember max riding in the 60's and he was awesome then, but this is a totally different game, saying that, top 6 in a national at 15 is a big achievment, chalanging for the win at 16 is even bigger, here's hoping the kid can develope and next year do exactly what barcia is doing.

He's not really coming through the pack like Barcia has, he gets a good start and finishes about where he started, gets a bad start and finishes near the back.

In that class the start is everything, they're all wide open, the tracks have been fast and not much passing. Unlike this year Glen Helen last year had some stuff that would separate the faster riders, Freestone was easy and even today with both Dungey and Pourcel we see that the first 10 secs of the race is a bigger factor than the next 30 mins.

Max was getting beat in Gainesville last November, he hasn't progressed that far that he's somehow one of a half dozen fastest 250f riders in the world, but in that class on these tracks you don't necessarily need to be to get a top five. Unless you have to do it from the back like CP and RD have.

Barcia has been beter all along. He has been up front the whole time. The shit he did today in the first moto was unreal. As for Max, he has done an excellent job so far and looks to have a good future in the sport. And MX978 that's not right to say that about a kids dad. Do you know him and have had run ins with him?
