TR Racing Boots? Anyone remember them?

I am a Vintage nut. And outside of the old 70's MX bikes, I loved Motocross the best from 1985 to 1998. When I was younger while all of my friends wanted the newest Fox Boots (like Ricky Johnson or Damon Bradshaw) or the Alpinestar Boots (like Jean Michel Bayle or Jeff Matiasevich in his Taichi days) I wanted a pair of Blue TR RACING Boots.

Well all these years later I was blessed to get a pair (Red, not Blue), pretty beat up on the outside but I am going to get them smoothed out and re-dyed.

Either Dirt Bike Magazine (pretty sure it was Dirt Bike) or Motocross Action Magazine did a test on all of the boots in the 90's, and the TR RACING Boots were included. I know that they didn't fair well in the test. I cannot for the life of me find that old issue in all of my boxes upon boxes of old Vintage Motocross Magazines. Does anyone out there remember that issue? Do you have it? Could you scan it?

Yes I remember them Laughing My folks got me a pair of black ones for Christmas one year. I thought I was tough shit with them. Then a few years later I got a pair of A Stars tech 5's. Then I realized how shitty the TR's were. Laughing

Lol. Yeah I am reconditioning them and I will use them when I am doing the Vintage Enduro stuff on old Vintage Honda. I have everything Vintage from head to toe for those races and I am not going very fast so they will have enough coverage. I have my new Thor's for my Motocross stuff.

I am just very happy to grab something from my past. Couldn't get them back them. But I have a smile on my face to have them now. Lol

My first pair of MX boots were TR Racing, around 1992. My first jersey was also an ugly white, pink and blue TR Racing. Pieces of junk, I wore through the soles pretty quickly and dumped them for a pair of Hi-Point's.

Ya i got some in the Bakersfield swamp meet gor 18 bucks didnt know wjat kind of boots were at first but i noticed most of the boot was made of leather so i was hmm thryre in very good condition and blue they are looks like they used it twice then stored then theyre size 9 or 91/2 very comfy they are since i am only 5 foot 3 in tall in height, vrry short was looking for some boots because with the boots they make me 1 to 1 amd a half inches taller enough to ride i thank GOD for blessing me with these

I am glad that you found a pair of boots to ride in and at $18, that is a nice grab. I still have the Red ones from the original post, but am still on the search for a 10.5, 11, or 11.5 Blue pair. I will keep looking.
