I am wondering if anyone is still having clutch slippage problems after the recent recall on the clutch. The dealer replaced my cover for a recall. But not even 4 rides after having that done, my clutch started slipping my second moto.

Did they replace the clutch plates well? Kawasaki is a little different in the fact they recommend a certain clutch plate stack height when replacing and if it doesn't fall within range, you add or remove plates to get it within spec.

I am wondering if the dealership possibly placed it all back together without checking that spec and you have an out of spec clutch pack.
My brother is Kaw dealer. Yes they should replace the plates. I'm waiting for them to do the upgrade on my bike.

Glad to see these post, took my 2021 out today and after my second lap clutch started slipping so bad I almost killed myself on a double. Bike has 7 hours on it, I’m heavy for a 250 at 190lbs but I’m not a A rider smoking the clutch that fast.
This sounds like something different. Plenty of other people have more hours without any clutch issues (myself included). I would see if the dealer can look into it for you. The recall was only to make the clutch housing larger to accommodate better oil flow and cool the plates down. If the plates are going bad that quick something else seems wrong. Either you rode the clutch too hard or something isn't in spec. And from your language it doesn't seem like you could have rode it too hard. I did a couple 90 degree days and had some coolant spluttering out and didn't have any issues with my clutch (yet...). Still waiting on the re-call parts from the dealer myself.

Update this thread please if you find something out! I hope it's something minor. How did it feel? Just bad clutch drag?

I just dropped my bike off last night for my recall parts. They say if the plates are "browned" they are to replace those as well. I told them since I have about 50 hours anyhow, just to replace them regardless. I am a 40+A woods racer, and admittedly not a clutch abuser, but have not had any problems from my bike.

The clutch was slipping before I took it in with 7hrs in the bike, I got the recall done and asked them to check the clutch since it was slipping they said it’s fine and dose not need replaced. I’m at 13hrs on the bike and it is slipping again.

This is what one of them looked like, I’ve had a few bikes and never had a problem with clutches and I don’t ride the clutch. First clutch issue so im not to sure what to look for.

About half way through second practice, I would be coming out of a corner into a straight away and I would get hold it wide and you could hear the bike about hit limiter but your not picking up speed so I pulled off and went to the parking lot which is a Field. I shifted down to 1st gave it gas and it would rev out and not pick up speed like it would normally. It in second gear also you get on the gas and it almost feels like it hesitates before the clutch releases

I ended trading the bike in on a husqvarna 450 anyway I didn’t want to deal with it anymore. I put a full Hinson clutch in the bike and had the recall done and I still had a slip issue. I found I stopped the slip issue by leaving a little less fluid in the master than recommended. If I filled it to full once it got hot it would start slipping even the Hinson clutch. So for me the clutch slip issue was resolved by less fluid

This is exactly what my bike was doing, I resolved my problem by running less fluid in the clutch master. If full when it would get hot I would get the same slip problem even with a brand new zero rides Hinson clutch. I don’t know if this is the actual fix but it helped me

How much did you take out? I might take out the same just as a precaution.

I just let 2 good squirts out of the bleeder, that did the trick for mine. You don’t want to run it to low
