He’s trying to talk, but not quite there yet.

I’m willing to bet he’s jabbering away within a couple days.

He’s definitely out of the woods, and a full recovery is looking pretty odds-on from where I’m sitting.

We go WAY back, early in my amateur days he worked at a local shop and hooked us up in a pinch. Such a good guy. always has been.

Welp..Went to see Dee today..He was glad to see me and we had a few laughs and a few thumbs up..I hope he has a full recovery which I think he will...Cool

DW has been moved to HOAG Newport Beach he is in Family Acute Rehab Center. He is only able to have two visitors per day.
Went to see him this afternoon (hadn't seen him since the 10th due to work). He is able to speak a little better (good sign), but he is still not able to use his right side.
Keep the prayers and positive thoughts coming!!

My wife in her former life did acute neuro rehab for stroke/head injury/spinal cord patients. This is hard work but the work is essential, and patience. Let us who are at a distance know what we can do to encourage.

Came across this the other day and the Mrs. thought it was pretty promising if it plays out well.

I wanted to give a quick update on Dwayne Williams. On Tuesday (9/14) he was transferred to Hoag Acute Rehab center. This type of rehab will give him extensive physical, occupational and speech therapy before he comes home. I ask that you please continue to pray for his continued recovery to being independent. He has a long road ahead but he is kicking ass right now. Thank you to everyone that has reached out and gone to visit him. Friends, family, and encouragement is so important right now for a successful recovery. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or would like info to go visit him. He can only have 2 visitors a day which is understandable because he needs his time for rehab and rest.

Side note: if you have text, messaged or called him he is not able to see those messages as we are unable to get into his phone. He has been unable to remember password.
