I was looking up the I-500 snowmobile race in Sault Ste Marie. I thought he raced that a time or two as well.
We're all getting older and it reminds me of the guy in Dust to Glory that said "if we knew we were making history we'd have paid more attention ".

Godspeed Yvon..

Great rider and personality. Got to see him race back in the day.

He and Gary Nixon made quite a team at Kawasaki.

First time I saw him was at the Peoria TT in '69. Believe it or not he was on a British knockoff Kawasaki 650 twin. They tried those for a couple years like Yamaha did with less success. Saw him at Daytona in '74 on one of those big Kaw triples.

I ran into Miguel at the Vegas airport a few years ago and told him about Peoria. He grinned and said "Dad loved his dirt tracks".
