Starting with the ama series, only one repeat winner so far in the 250 class, with several more riders that could pull down their first win this year, and add the awesome racing in the 450 class with ferrandis, kroc, plessinger, barcia, tomac, ac9, mm 25 and sexton.
It is just a great time to be a fan, but there is more...
The mxgp racing has been awesome.
Tg243, jh84, tc222, jp61, rf3 are putting on an incredible series as well.
And please don't turn this into an "us vs them" arguement.
How can you watch Herlings get landed on, go on to win a moto, be diagnosed with a broken shoulder blade, miss 2nd moto and the next round, and then come back and kick as at lommel, one of the toughest tracks in the world, and not be in awe of the level of skill in that series as well.
Maybe the days of win steaks and wrapping up a championship with 3 rounds to go are long gone and hopefully will not ever return.
Tweaking track prep here in the states has really helped, and the mxgp tracks have been impressive as well.

When I got into the sport, I was only able to watch a couple of races live from Australia, got a Bar to Bar or similar video every Christmas, and got super excited to get an outdated MXA or Racer X magazine for like $12
Then on top of that, we generally knew who was going to win.
Despite all of that, they are fond memories.
Although now we are spoiled with live coverage, tons of free content on the net, and the competition is absolutely amazing.
