I think Cannella is moving up to the 450 next year, so he should add a little more depth to the class. He's had a rough go at the 250 class this year.
Next year should be back to normal with the series going West.
I almost expected more from Thompson, Pettis has had him covered, no dis to Jess cause he’s unreal but also his first year.
There’s been some good racing thus far, I hope it continues!
With Goerke retiring, Nicoletti returning in the US, Weltin taking Goerke's spot at Kawi, and Pettis moving up, Thompson is still +/- in the same spot as last year.
Side Note: Not a fan of the single moto format we saw at Gopher Dunes. Round 7 at Deschambault on Monday August 2nd is a 1 moto format.
Round 6: Deschambault, 2 moto format.
Round 7: Deschambault, 1 moto format.
Round 8: Walton, 2 moto format.
I’m with you on the single moto format, I’m not a fan…
He definitely has/had speed outdoors. He's got 2 US top 10 overalls (7th & 8th) to his name.
Currently he seems content with the gig he has, but he doesn't strike me as the type of guy that will continue to line up for races once he's no longer on a team. I think once he gets replaced at KTM, he'll call it a career and move on to other things.
