Does anybody have pictures of the place from the 70s or when it first opened up until now.?

I'm basically just trying to learn the history of the place. I cant seem to find good information on it, from youtube to googling. only thing i found was a mxa time machine video which is footage from the 70s.

Anyway any help of photos/ history / stories would be greatly appreciated.

Cycle News West archives should have a ton of old race reports, results, ads, etc. from the Arroya days (back in the '70s).

I went there when it was Arroyo in 1981'ish for an NMA qualifier. It believe it was only the REM track at that time. My friend got moved up from 80 nov to 80 int and got smoked at that race Smile I remember the hills to this day. Their were two HUGE camel humps and I was complete in shock how fast the 80 experts were (Larry Brooks era)

IIRC the very first issue of MXA had coverage of a 125 Pro race at Arroyo with some good photos. I want to say maybe June 1973? Unfortunately all my early magazines are long gone, but I’m sure someone can help you out. Good luck, let us know what you find.
