I bought the bike (02 250sx) in pieces and have just finished rebuilding the motor however Im pretty sure I do not have everything that I need for a working ignition
Parts I have- Stator 2k1 model, ECU labeled hpi cd5204d, the Coil and plug.
So my questions right now are
1. Is this all the components?
2. I keep seeing a voltage regulator online do I need one on a sx? I dont have one now
3. will this ecu work? the way it was on the bike and wired leads me to think that it did work in this configuration at one point. and it does not appear to be one of the SEM types with the coil built in which makes me think that it should work. Im no expert but an ignition is an ignition it should still function in some way even if its not ideal right?
4. If this ecu works, where do the wires go? they are not colored the same as any other ktm I can find
Im just at a loss, kind of over whelmed at what to do here. Thought that I had everything figured out! should have known when the rebuild went so easily!
Thanks in advance
Ecu looks like this
2. You don't need a voltage regulator for SX model with out lights
3. and 4. Contact HPI ignition manufacturer for ECU compatibility and wiring https://www.hpi.be/contact.php
