Been busy working on some unobtainable parts for the Henry tribute build. I've been making some HRC replica frame guards for my 96 McGrath bike and thought they would be a direct fit to the cr125, the holes line up but the geometry of the guard does not fit the frame well. So I've started to design cr125 HRC replica frame guards, DM me if you're interested in a pair. They fit 95-97 cr125s. I've also been making some HRC replica fork guard guides, still have a couple pair if anyone is interested.

There are still plenty of tickets left for the raffle, DM me if you're interested. All proceeds donated to the Road 2 Recovery foundation to help Todd Dehoop and his family.

I’m building a 97 cr125 and I would be interested in a set of the replica frame guards

Aaron if you had something promoting this raffle with the specific info on how to take part that was basically a copy and paste it would make it easier to get the word out.
Maybe one before shot and several images showing key components restored.
I would at least make an effort to get the word out on some Facebook pages.
It should not direct traffic here but to you directly. This may make it easier for other pages to allow for its inclusion.

The quality of this build along with contributing to Road for Recovery makes it pretty easy to want to take part in it.
I just need something that’s copy and paste.

The rear shock for the Doug Henry tribute build is rebuilt and ready for some nitrogen. Had to throw a bunch of OEM Honda parts at it to bring it back to life. One small set back on original housing and found a 97 shock body to replace it. The OEM sticker is from unboundedmx and looks awesome!!

Made my first set of cr125 frame guards, they are slightly different than the cr250 ones I've done. Still need to dimple the slotted holes on the left side, but they came out pretty good.

Finally have the gas tank to a point I'm happy with, still need to buff it and get some sheen back. So far its been stripped to remove the paint and wet sanded to 1000 grit. Any recommendations on what buffing wheel to use?

This ProCircuit pipe was pretty hammered and I almost threw it in the scrap metal bin. Instead I thought I'd try to blow the dents out and give it a works look. Getting the dents out takes more time than I anticipated, but my small torch and 40psi is enough to get the job done. Even after the dents are out some small scrapes/ scratches remained, I carefully TIG welded them making sure not to put too much heat into the area. After I was able to sand the welds down for a smooth look. Still lots left to do on the pipe but its looking pretty good.

They were modeled in CAD and then I exported a DXF file for the waterjet.

I searched for a long time to find the correct airbox with no luck. A huge shout out to Will and the MX community here on Vitalmx. This airbox was graciously donated to the build, I am very thankful!! 🙏 This airbox is in such prestine condition, all I had to do was peel a sticker off, wet sand and buff.

I bought an old YZ silencer just for the stinger, come to find out the silencer cores are different diameters. Oddly enough the YZ silencer was a really close fit and looks more like a Bills unit than the CR one. So I cut the hanger off the CR silencer and fit it to the YZ core. Everything is tacked in place until I get the engine back in the frame to confirm its all in the right spot

Full transformation of the rear hub yesterday. It put up a good fight until I pulled out the cut off wheel and cut all the spokes, things went smoother after that, lol. Finished it off with gloss black cerakote.

Hey Matt, the fork guards are made by DC plastics. They have flanges for mounting to the fork lowers, you'll have to drill your own holes. That works out nicely as they fit more bikes that way. Here is a link to their website. https://www.dcvmx.com/xcart/product.php?productid=187201

Cutting, grinding, welding, stripping, blasting and sanding this lower triple for that HRC brushed factory look. Hi there, I was wondering which clamps and stem you used to make the CRF forks bolt up? I’m in the process of building this exact bike as well but not too sure on the clamps. Thanks

If you are running 47mm showas from a CRF all you need to do is swap the lower bearing from a CR onto the CRF stem. The stem length and diameters are the same between the CRF and CR, but the bearing from the CR is larger in size.

Getting some of the small details dialed, gloss black cerakote on the controls and engine case. Installed new bearings in the rear wheel, just waiting on rims and spokes to arrive to get this thing rolling. Im going to miss this bike... Still plenty of raffle tickets available.

Sorting out the front brake line today, should I run it in front of the axle or behind? What do you guys think?
