Older TM Racing Enduro query?

Hi guys recently acquired a 2003 TM EN 250 and can't figure out where the cdi goes, the previous cretin had it cable tied in the air box but that doesn't seem right to me?
Can anyone assist?

Oops, I can’t read. Can’t help you with an 03, I had a 400 4stroke back then and it wouldn’t have been the same.
