I know he went down hard and was taken away by the Alpinestars medics, but is there any news on his condition?

From Grant's social media...

Felt good all day until a mistake in the long rhythm put me in the hospital. Ended up with a small brain bleed, broken left elbow, broken right wrist along with a rib and a lung. Not sure on my timeline yet but ready to get out of Daytona and back to Texas ASAP!! Thanks to everyone who has called and messaged me!

Only in moto is "a small brain bleed" just a comment made in passing. Scary shit and bummed for the guy. Hope he heals up quick!

Grant was born in Hawaii and then moved to Alaska before his family located to North Texas when he was about 6-8 years old.

I remember my son being lined up against him in the 85 9-11 class at the Texas State Championship. Don't judge a book by its cover. I noticed Grant had mix matched gear, goggles strap low around the helmet, shirt tail out, stickers all over the bike. First thing I thought was, Ethan will be able to get the jump on this guy, so I lined him up next to Grant. Well, the starting line was the only time Ethan saw Grant. He didn't win, but he was fast!

A few years later he attended one of my training camps at Freestone. He was fast and had the mind set that is needed to get to the next level. Been very proud of what he has done. Great kid and fantastic family!
