Repairing rubber mounts

I imagine most people with older bikes have seen this issue with rubber boots tearing. Does anyone have any preferential means of fixing these tears?

Works good to cushion between things like the shock reservoir, gas tank and ignition.

A slick idea would be to 3d print a new holder for it. You can make it out if a flexible material to reduce vibrations.
