Well if he had an actual pic of Baggett riding a Beta, then it wouldn't be a rumbling or a wild speculation anymore, I guess.

There will be more serious speculation now that Van Horebeek finished 4-4 yesterday in a field full of talented MXGP rider's. I think it is far beyond most people's expectation for the maiden race of the new bike (which is really not all that different from the enduro models). Most were saying if he could get a top 10 by the end of the season it would validate the bike after his 9th last year. This was NOT the MXGP, but the Italian nationals, so far from a full field, and it was a sand track which is Jeremy's specialty, never the less a outstanding maiden voyage. Still a long time till 2022, and Beta is not fielding an AMA team for '21, there is no production model yet.

I don't know a thing about Bagget, is he having his wrist worked on in hopes of a return? As has been said before, a rider looking for MX only will be rare, but I see no way a production model could be ready for '22 for SX, but I would expect SX in '23.

Baggett to Beta for MXGP? I wish, but like Johnny said, there’s no bike to homologate so he definitely will not be racing the Nationals for them.

I didn't even consider MXGP for Blake, but that might make sense? With the delayed start of the MXGP season there is still time. If Beta now realizes they have a competitive bike and it's not going to be a development year they might want to hire another rider that can run up front? Nobody else from the U.S. has better credentials and is available and the press attention that would go along with a notable U.S. rider competing would raise the bar for MXGP and Beta. Between Herlings and Prado and Gajser podiums will be hard to come by. Not trying to slight any other names, but the field is stacked.

He won't be riding for anyone until the legal stuff is all settled.

Yeah, not really sure why all the BB4 threads are popping up. It's pretty clear that the reason he's not riding for anybody...or can ride for anybody is due to ongoing litigation. Hope things clear up soon though, the outdoors especially are better with El Chupacabra on the line for sure!

Just to give a small amount of legitimacy to this post, taken from a FB topic talking about the MX bike.
For those that don’t know Rodney Smith is the race team manager
I don’t see it happening, but then again I never thought they’d build an MX bike.

^ Needs more context. For all we know, Rodney could have been talking about the best 250F come from behind riders of all time.

Race team manager's aren't known to have loose lips. There seems to be some smoke here..
All it would take is a little rule change for a prototype model for 1 year and voila. There is good sentiment in the industry to let more manufacturer's in, so you say there's a chance??

Did you read his post? He gave context. ccullins is not the kind of guy to troll around with fake news.

They wanted to be in the AMA MX in 2022... But if your bike seems good and you can sign Baggett, why hesitate. Special thing with this bike is that it has no electronics.

True, no start map, but dual injectors and maps.

I saw in the video I posted yesterday a shift drum sensor and several switches on the bars. Looks like they have something, maybe a GET traction control?

Anybody got a link for Mantova this morning?
