Hey Waterloo, have we talked before? I lived in Cedar Falls for 20 years. Used to go to the Cattle Congress races fairly regularly.

That was an interesting day @ Springville. It was the first time that a big name rider like Jeff Ward showed up for a race in Iowa. There was a D22 race that day in West Union so I missed most of the event...showed up that evening and raced the following day.

Yes, Tom Moon took care of my bikes from 76-79. I raced a 100 back in 74. it was a fun year;i.e. we took the Winnie to all the races...a family adventure.

My riding is limited except for the Colorado 400 every year (although I did not make the cut last year). I try and "give back" by sponsoring a few racers. I still help Bob Halstead (even though he weighs almost 300 lbs)!!

I actually may have some super 8 of your 73 Honda XR 75 @ West Union. I am a collector and have had some of my work in Racer-X. The 73 XR75 is one of my favorite pieces (1st run models are always worth more $).

What tracks did you run? Like I said I lived in Burlington and from 70-74 I hit a bunch of them in Iowa and western Ill.

Albia, Osceola, Mechanicsville, Washington, Donaldson, Coal Valley, Quincy, 34 Raceways were some of the ones I ran multiple times.

I think Iowa City and Washington are the same. I might have done Springville, funny how 30-35 years will fuzz stuff up.

Always wanted to go to Cali in those days, never had the chance.
