The weight deal is a stupid concern for most amateur riders!
1) I have never had to carry my bike anywhere!
2) most amateurs are overweight themselves, so why worry about 2.5 lbs on your bike?
I've got about 4hrs on it now and majorly impressed so far. With my history on ThumperTalk, we have partnered to do a build, as well documenting my season with the bike. Lots of good parts are in the mail!
Not 100% committed for a full race season (yet I've been training like I am) but might make a couple rounds. It's difficult for me to race with the long season, being 40, family and business owner.
No intention of spamming or disrespecting anyone on Vital but if you want to have a look at what's going on with my experience with the KX450XC, you are welcome to check out my thread on TT. I will post on here as well if others continue to show interest.

I will venture over to TT and see what you have going on. I have read some of you posts over there in the past and you do a nice job writing. That's something I have always wanted to get into but life keeps getting in the way.

More then half of our Pro class is guys over 30 (and half of those guys are over 35). They won't make a 30+ Pro class because they would lose most of the Pro class...lol
Ecu tuning is probably going to be your best bet. I'm with you, I don't like engine braking.

I moved from 105mm to 102mm sag and the bike turns considerably better. Spring rates are unbalanced as I don't have my fronts in yet so the 5.7 rear is over-powering the front. I'm looking at Ride Engineerings 21.5 clamps to really hone the steering in... Any opinions? Our offroad races are tight so turning is favored over stability.

Ho do I adapt a front wheel from the 2016 to the 2019? Do I just need to change the bearings?
Ive made a sound comparison video for YouTube here - https://youtu.be/u62PgVezhTU
The sound is much louder and deeper, and the throttle response is improved. Not sure how available HGS is in the US but its a big brand here in Europe.
Looking forward to riding it, although gonna be another few weeks of lockdown here in England yet. Haven't ridden the bike for 9 weeks now!
