2019 250SX Build

Edited Date/Time 1/28/2021 9:52am
So I’ve had KTM 2 Strokes before, I had a 2015 250SX a few years back that was hands down the best bike I’d ever owned. Put about 100 hrs on it in a year and loved it from day 1. I bought a 2019 last year for a steal on a whim and really didn’t like it so I sold it a couple months later, bike was totally stock. Recently I decided to sell my 2020 YZ450 I had and buy another one, but this time I was gonna do it right. My wife and I are expecting our first child in March so I thought it was now or never haha On the last day of 2020 I drove 11 hrs in a day down to MS to go pick this thing up. Got a good deal on it and the bike was primarily stock so I pulled the trigger. The day I brought it home:

After about a month and several online orders I just got it finished up and ready to roll. I put every dollar I sold my 450 for and then some (thanks 2nd stimulus check haha) into this bike to do it right. I’ve always wanted to do this, and I couldn’t be more excited how it turned out. I replaced every wear part on the bike that wasn’t perfect. Parts List:

Pro Circuit Platinum Pipe with R304 Shorty Silencer
Dubya Edge Wheel Set
Powerband Full Revalved Suspension setup for 200 Lb
Vortex/EK Chain and Sprockets
Dunlop MX33 Tire Set
Lectron Carb
VForce Reeds
Full Acerbis Plastics and Frame Guards
MotoVisuals Graphics (my buddy kills it check em on IG)
ProTaper Fuzion bars
And a few other little bolt on goodies

Let me know what you think! Can’t wait to get out and ride it when the weather changes

Bike looks mega mate, very nice indeed! Out of curiosity, what didn't you like about the first 2019 you bought and why did you buy the same bike again? I've always been tempted to a 250T but seems people either love them or hate them.

Thank you Gary! And I think I just had the unrealistic expectations that it was going to be just like my 2015 or better and that just wasn’t going to happen with a bone stock bike, my 2015 SX absolutely RIPPED. I didn’t touch the first 2019 I bought and the suspension just didn’t suit my comfort. (I’m 200lbs and the stock setup is for 160lb rider). I bought the first one to ride both 250 and 450 classes and I just never did. That’s why i figured I’d do it right this time around and give the bike a full chance to be good!

Fair play dude, hope you end up enjoying it as much as the 2015 and I guess I'll just have to try and sneak a run on one to see if it's my cup of tea!
