The local track (Dade City) has been blowing up the pro class by creating a "sponsor's cup" series. Local dealers provide bikes, Monster and other sponsor's provide the money. The track owner (Infamous Randy Yoho) wants to get it televised on local TV and has begun producing his own show.

It's gnarly what this series has blown up to be and now with the weekly race coverage online it's moved up to another level. Rider attendance is so high that they are doing a SX format of 2 heats, an LCQ and a main.

Check it out...

No one is as unselfishly involved in the betterment of MX like Rich Cain.

I wouldn't watch anything produced by Yuhu if you tied me up and forced me to watch it.

Randy has it going on with the Sponsor Cup races. What other track can get 25 to 30 pro riders on a gate 20+ times a year for a night race? What other track can average over 500 entries for a night race? He must be doing something right!!! Everything in my opinion.

Keylon, Boni, Goerke, Sean Hackley, Renner, Zak Osborne......and other than Renner, not one of these guys have won one of these yet this year !!!!!

That is very cool. How does it work...does each sponsor have a guaranteed bike in the show?

The Sponsor Cup riders get a transponder. Fastest time in practice gets 50 bucks. Then there are 2 heat races.....gate pick based on practice times.

2 heats taking 8 and a lcq taking 4.

No guarantee for a gate

It's not really a pro class, anyone can ride it. The competition level just happens to be extremely high. Purses are paid to the team owners. This way it helps a lot more riders get a free bike and sponsorship opportunities.
