I enjoy them and value them but I wonder how many people think of them as an unnecessary item now

A watch I’ve ordered a couple of times was finally delivered yesterday. An inexpensive yet iconic watch amongst collectors....Vostok Amphibia Scuba Dude (Made in Russia).

After reading this thread I've decided I know squat about watches. But I want a new G-shock Master something. I'd love to get a Gulf Master but may settle on a Mud Master. Looking for something with LONG battery life, easy to read in low light and smoke or dust, with barometer and altimeter at least. Just haven't found the right place to get one. Too many knock-offs to trust Amazon or E-bay.

Ah, I just saw the altimeter and barometer needs. Check out the Casio Pro Trek series.
Bought this two weeks ago for my birthday/anniversary. G-Shock GG-B100 Master. Wish it had the tough-solar but it has everything else I wanted in the watch.
