Saturday is the GP race in the woods/mx track and Sunday is mx racing all day. Wish I could attend Saturday for the GP race but can't sit around all day Sunday for the mx races.

I usually try to do that event. It's always been a good time. I went last year on Sunday. It was fun but it ran way longer than I expected and I actually had to cut out and miss my last moto. I feel like this year will be just as long, if not longer. I think it's because it has gotten more popular again, after some down years. And they added a lot of support classes.

Anyways, aside from that it's a good time. I will probably be going. I think Saturday is just for the GP racing. So you can race that and get familiar with the track, for Sunday. But I didn't think there is a specific practice time scheduled, unless you are racing, but I could be wrong. Obviously there will be a morning practice on Sunday though. If you have never raced or ridden High Point, no worries. You can actually roll pretty much every jump and still keep a pretty decent pace. The elevation and the corners are all super fun and you can make up a lot time just by being fast on the ground. That being said, most of the jumps are not too bad. I can do most of them. Most people double the uphill step up, by the finish line instead of tripling (myself included.) If they have the pro section open, only really fast guys quad or triple that. I double it but did triple once last year. Those are the only jumps that you need to feel out. Everything else, is pretty safe and you can work your way up to it and gauge yourself. Just show up and have fun, really.

Well, did you go and did you have fun?

I went and I did have fun. 48 motos total, made for a long day, but I was home at 6 pm. I was 3rd moto, +60.

Perfect conditions except for the frost in the am. Sunshine all day, slight breeze. No need for an EZ up.

For those who did not go, ya missed a good one.

I went as well. You are right, it was a beautiful day. Perfect for racing. Still a long day but much faster than last year. I feel like last year, we weren't even racing until like 1230. It was probably an hour ahead of last year as far as the time schedule, which was nice. I always love that event.
