Can anyone help me with clutch adjustment on my 1979 Yamaha YZ125, specifically the rod and nut in the center of the clutch?

I think I read for a yz490 that you tighten the rod with a Phillips head screwdriver until you feel it bottom, and then back it off 1/4 of a turn, and then tighten the nut to hold it in that location?

Is it the same for the 1979 Yamaha yz125?

Thanks for any input.

I still have a copy of the original owners handbook for a YZ125F so I thought I would take a look in there to see what it says.

Hope this is helpful.

No problem at all, pleased it helped you out. This manual is of no use to me as I sold my 125 a number of years ago. I forgot to include it with the bike but had no contact details for the guy who bought the bike, so it has sat in my garage ever since. If you send me a private message with your address details I will send it over to you. I am in the UK but it should not be too expensive as it is only a small book, but you should find it helpful in future.
