Vhm head on a yz250, is it worth it?

Hi, im trading my 250 yzf this friday for a yz250.

and it currently has a Doma pipe + silencer, Vforce4 reeds and a VHM head with a piston for it. he asks me another 250$ for the head+ piston kit, what really dos a VHM head do for this bike? would it be worth it to grab the VHM head aswell or will i just be fine with the pipe and vforce?

im just doing some casual races and ride for fun, do you need race gas for this head?

Forgot to say the cylinder also got some port work, total hour of 15 on bike

VHM just allows the owner to change combustion chamber volumes and profiles. Theyre also good for adding a pound in one of the worst places possible, and use their own gaskets in most applications.

Just buy a spare stock head and have it modded. can you tig? fill one in and send it to a builder.

Go for it, the vhm head will our perform anything anyone else is going to do with your stock head, better cooling, changeable inserts, VHM knows their stuff, and no other head manufacturer makes anything close to what they do, they are the pinnacle of 2 stroke performance, to the point, that pro circuit got their cranks for them and hot rod cranks aren’t even in the same galaxy as far as quality goes, at the very least, pick it up, for the price tag, that’s incredibly cheap
