Hi All,
I am looking to get a small bike to turn into a pit bike to putt around on while I teach my son to ride. Can you guys help me out? Do you think I should go with a 110 or 125? Seems like more people are riding and modifying the 110? Is that because it's size or because it's semi automatic? Seems like the 125 standard wheel would be a perfect little putt around bike and it has a front disc brake and clutch....
Thanks! Appreciate It!

110s are handy since you can ride it one handed. Whether your holding extra goggles, phone or a cold beer, it's just a practical bike.

I’d say get the kid a 110. And get yourself a grom. Chase him around. Sell the 110 one day keep the grom.

I've actually thought about that.... I don't know if the Grom can handle the dirt and mud I'd be riding thru.... I have seen some Groms with off road tires but......

I just bought a 2020 crf125 and love it. My kid is 10 and rides the shit out of it and so do i. Clutch to ride one handed is not a big deal at all and its getting the kid ready to be on a bigger bike and have to use the clutch without the intimidation factor of a higher powered two stroke clutch bike. I would do it again for sure.
