Cuts out when in gear!!!

Hey everyone need a little help. I’ve got a 1989 rm125 and every time I put it in 1st gear it jumps and stalls straight away!!! Anyone got a idea what could be up with it???

Jumps & stalls sounds like you need to adjust your clutch cable or need a new clutch

10:1 odds it's a notched clutch hub and/or basket. You may be pulling the clutch, but the plates aren't disengaging.

X2 plus maybe burnt clutch plates that are now warped.

Going to look at getting a new clutch cable as it don’t seem to pull in a lot and it doesn’t move all the much so I’ll try that first before the new clutch
