Hi
Got a 2017 yzf 250, clutch was slipping bad so installed new plates and friction plates. Really struggled getting the thing adjusted correctly. Managed in the end after 3 rides adjusters fully in cant get clutch bite and plates burnt out again.

Upon inspection noticed inner hub has cracks around outside, pressure plate has wear on inside and is badly grooved where springs are. Basket is fine n o grooves.

Could this be reason I struggled getting the thing adjusted properly ?

Yes that pressure plate needs to be replaced, but are you sure you are running the correct oil?

How many hours? You said the clutch was slipping bad did you replace the springs? The springs on the yz's are usually the first thing to go.

Got 67 hours, the springs were replaced yes.

When I took the old ones out they were well out of spec by couple of mm.
