How about tie all the riders arms behind their backs and take their bikes away and let them run around the track with figure skates on?

Yeah, you're sorry. And you should apologize to Goat Breker who used the idea at the GFI Perris Invitational years back.
Do they still do it?

No

Hmmmm....

Yeah, ok....

Have a great day

I don't recall Cooper or Eli complaining the lapped riders gave an unfair advantage to either, I think Cooper called the lapped riders "Knarly?" When Eli was in front the lappers benefitted Cooper because he was so close to Eli . . . The guy in front had to slow down until they moved over and the guy behind could make up the gap. When Cooper was in 1st place the lappers Benefitted Eli.

I get Cooper fans being upset that so close to the end of the race, and 2 or 3 turns from the Checkered flag, Cooper got slowed up by the lapper. I would venture a guess that overall both Cooper and Eli both lost about the same amount of time due to the lapped riders.

It's a love/hate relationship.
Love them as a fan, makes racing more intense.
Hate them when my guy is in front.
Love'd them when I raced and needed to gain on the leader.
Hated them when I was leading.

Personally I would only want to see them black flagged if they were clearing not getting out of the way. I don't mean they just hug the racing line a little long but blatantly pass up the opportunity to let the leaders by because then to me you become a danger to yourself and the other riders.

I would like to add the OP was meant to be facetious. No way would I in any way want to change how the race yesterday unfolded. It was 100x better than I ever expected any of these condensed SLC "lets get this over with" batch of races to turn out.

That was the best 450 battle of the series IMO, and one of the best I can remember since Stew on a KX250/ RC on a 450 days.

I watched it again today. Coop chasing ET through the whoops, passing (edit:lapping) Osborne like he was in 1st gear, was unreal.

It was a great race - was looking for the last corner pass and one of these:
