EP 4 of the Spandex Stampede Stories is now live with Jake Weimer where we go through his career with all the ups & downs along the way.
"I did not go there thinking I could win I thought that it was realistic that I could get on the podium but I never thought that I would win an outdoor and then let alone go to Des Nations like are you kidding me like I didn’t
think that but to go with that too it’s a double edge sword is that I don’t know that I was really ever confident kid per say and I think that may have hindered me a little bit at that time because at that time like I guess I did it so I was good enough to do those things, but I didn’t expect it out of myself so sometimes I think maybe I didn’t set my expectations high enough like you know when I was a kid, I dreamed of winning a Supercross but I don’t know if I ever believed it but then it became reality and I believed it but I hadn’t thought past that."
