In all fairness, he had to borrow the hat in the photo from his brother because no team gear was sent. Hat was being passed around between photos.

First thing I thought of when I saw that photo. Looks like a bucket on his head.

From what’s been going around some groups I follow, sounds like Stew had surgery (knee?) and did not tell the team, so they fired him over it. Whether or not that is true, I don’t know, but it’s becoming a consistent reason that I keep hearing.

wow that sounds like a bunch of bulshit so the guy gets his knee fixed and they're going to fire him for that..

Besides his out spoken criticisms of Sherco in his RacerX interview, another piece of this puzzle that no one knows about, is around the first week in January he grenaded a Sherco 2 stroke and 4 stroke.

Beta has run the series for years. No problems.

anytime I seen somebody switched to beta in the xc2 class it seems like they're results weren't as good as when they are on other bikes.
Mike Witkowski finished 3rd on the season last year XC2. Beta's don't suck and are proven reliable on the world stage and GNCC's..

And.... Can't imagine Sherco would be mad, but he may have got cold feet?

Ashburns last year was riddled with mechanicals and other goblins. He even switched to a 2 stroke at one point. Even current riders won't touch the 4 stroke bikes which is why all choose the 2 strokes to race.

KTM doesn’t have to worry about losing the enduro title anymore I guess Laughing

Sounds like Sherco wanted a way out. Don’t know what exactly they were expecting that he hasn’t delivered on.

It says he got two seconds and a third ,it doesn't say he finished third for the season. I was thinking of guys like Nick Davis who was always getting hurt on the bike ,Jessie Gerome who's results suffered his first race back with a KTM on a borrowed bike he was on the box. I know there was a few more but I'm terrible with names. We haven't done GNCC since 2018 so it's possible the bikes have gotten better but back then they sucked.

Mike did finish 3rd on the season. Beta doesn’t make a 4t 250 and some guys suck on 2t’s. Ashburn finished better on the Beta than before or after, he’s a great starter but not a top 5 threat.

Seems like Holcomb and Freeman like the Beta... Holcomb is riding the 4-stroke this coming world enduro season.

Enduros aren't the same as GNCC,we have a local kid Thorn Devlin that does really good at Enduros on betas also.

The sherco “factory” ride was a downgrade from his last bike and last program and I will speculate that Stu didn’t mince words about it. Could create friction.

The Beta 4t's have plenty of good results for years in several series if you care to look. Far more experience than Sherco in this area.

Thorn Devlin is now on the Factory Team.

GNCC (The missing link in XC1, someone like Baylor could fix that)
Sprint Enduro (Ashburn almost took the series in 2018)
National Hare and Hounds (Currently hold 2nd and 3rd, Wasson 2nd last year)
West Hare Scrambles (Gerston current 2 time Champ, Roberts 250 Champ)
East Hare Scrambles (Kyle McDonal current Champ, Rachel Gutich Women's champ)

Like I said in my previous post, my observations go back a few years I'm sure the bikes have much improved. I know Kyle to he does do well on them.
