Little question about triple crown events

Watching the start of the second set of mains, got me thinking of something I really did t know the answer to. Do the riders line up for every main based on qualifying like in the GP’s, or do they line up each successive gate based on finish order of the previous main. Don’t know why I never knew the answer to that.

1st one is based off of timed qualifying and each moto after the first is based off the previous moto score.
